Champis was born in 1918 and the same secret recipe is still used today. Only one person knows the recipe and it's the grandson of the creator, Göran Roberts. Some attentive Champis fanatics may have seen that Örebro Castle is depicted on the label, and that is precisely because the creator of the recipe was an island brewer. Champis contains ingredients from both apple and grape, which makes the taste actually reminiscent of sparkling champagne.
