Abba Bohusmatjes have a strongly spicy taste and are the tastiest in our range of matjes. Bohusmatjes contains herring (Clupea harengus) of the highest quality, which is fished in the North East Atlantic and which only comes from viable stocks. The herring is allowed to mature in barrels with a layer of spices in our cellar in Kungshamn on Bohuslän's west coast until it tastes its best and is ready to be enjoyed! Matjessill has a given place at the midsummer celebration or is eaten as it is together with fresh potatoes, sour cream, chives and a little browned butter.
